Introduction
The challenge for this project was to illustrate the ingenuity of rhyming pairs, as well as utilize Gestalt principles. The chosen rhymes, "checkmate bait" and "chaos albatross", were developed over a few weeks to produce the final products (above). Early stages of the creative process can be seen below.

Inspirations
Throughout the creative process, inspiration images were referred back to numerous times. For "chaos albatross" in particular, kaiju movies were a major source of replicable motifs. Elements such as scale, composition, and leading lines were pulled from these movies to give the work a familiar sense of disarray.
